Full Description

The Naval Oceanographic Contracting Office (NAVO) intends to award a sole source contract to Edge Tech, A Division of EdgeOne, LLC., 4 Little Brook Rod, West Wareham, MA 02576. The contract will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 13 as a firm fixed price purchase order with a six week period of performance to diagnosis issues with existing manufacture's equipment and participate in "at sea trials" with the system for verification testing. EdgeTech is the original equipment manufacturer of this equipment. The EdgeTech equipment is integrated into an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV). The requirement is for Qty (1) power distribution board, a processor board, flash drive with operating systems and software, SIB Sonar Interface Board, DDC Acquisition Board, (4 channel), amplifier board for side scan (Rev C), T/R switch, and a DW-300/600 Transducers 6000m and technical support for system verification. This requirement also covers engineering support to replace pa! rts while at sea and help diagnosis the problems with the transducer. IAW FAR Part 5.203(a) the anticipated award date is April 15, 2009. The contractor is responsible for shipping materials to Stennis Space Center, MS. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
