20--SINGLE AXIS PIPE BENDER

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound intends to solicit, in support of the USS Emory S. Land, AS-39, to purchase a Single Axis Pipe Bender. To be negotiated on a sole source basis with Jesse Engineering Company, Tacoma, WA, per FAR 6.302. The Pipe Bender is proprietary to Jesse Engineering Company, and it is a direct replacement of existing equipment onboard the vessel. This unit is the only known component that will satisfy the Government's need for conformity and interchangeability (form, fit, and function of existing parts and attachments). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. FOB Destination. Required delivery date within 20 weeks after date of award. This requirement to be solicited using commercial, simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5. The acquisition will be solicited anticipating a Firm, Fixed-Price Supply type contract. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents.
