The General Services Administration (GSA) has reopened AutoStandards for the final submission of technical data for vehicle models to be considered under the 2019 Federal Vehicle Standards until 5:00 pm EDT on Monday, May 7, 2018. This reopening is strictly for potential sources to submit technical data on models for the 2019 standards review; no further models will be accepted after this deadline. It is important to note that at this stage, GSA is not requesting or granting AutoBid account access, as the agency remains in the requirements development phase and has not issued any solicitation for 2019 model year vehicles within the Light Vehicles or Light Duty Vocational Vehicles programs. This process is conducted under solicitation number QMAA-F6-180010-D and is classified as a sources-sought notice. The agency seeks interested parties to participate in this pre-solicitation phase focused on federal motor vehicle standards, specifically targeting light vehicles and light-duty vocational trucks, under the NAICS code 336111. The contract management is handled by the GSA/FAS Office of Acquisition Operations in Washington, DC, with Dallas W. Brewer and Katherine O’Brien serving as the contracting officer and contract specialist respectively. This phase is intended to gather input and technical data to inform future solicitations, but no procurement actions will be taken at this time.
