2024-018 Fire Department Ballistic Vests

The City of Lewiston, Maine, is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase of approximately 140 Ballistic Soft Body Armor Vests and carriers to support multiple Fire and EMS agencies throughout Androscoggin County. To ensure operational safety and versatility, all vests must be certified to NIJ Standard 0101.06 Level IIIA and NIJ Standard 0115.00 Spike Level 3. Technical requirements include waterproof or sealed ballistic panels, carriers available in multiple colors with detachable front and rear ID tags, and integrated pockets for trauma supplies and radios. Sizing must range from one size fits most to individually fitted, and the successful vendor will be required to provide in-person fitting support within Androscoggin County.
