Bids for the 2024 Paving Project will be received by Hopewell Township, online via PennBID, until 10:00 A.M. local time on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: The Project consists of roadway improvements throughout Hopewell Township. The base bid includes 18 roads throughout the Township, with improvements including a combination of milling, surface treatment, base repair, and overlay. The alternate bid projects, if awarded, consist of 11 additional roads and all associated work. Bids are requested for the following Contract: 2024 Paving Project. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act (‘the Act’) which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government’s E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost for this project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142).
