The contract involves the demolition and removal of up to twenty-three structures within the City of Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York, with work to be completed over a one-year period. The structures, deemed unsafe to enter by the City Fire Department, are to be demolished to a depth of two feet below grade, with sewer lines plugged, and the sites restored using native meadow mix. The demolition must adhere to NYSDOL ICR-56 11.5 standards for controlled asbestos demolition, with a citywide variance allowing modified procedures. Bidders are invited to submit sealed bids by December 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM, to the City Clerk’s Office, with no pre-bid conference scheduled. The scope of work emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and site restoration, but does not specify a contract type or detailed pricing structure in the available documentation. The procurement is not set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, though the City encourages participation from minority-owned, women-owned, and Section 3 businesses. The bidding process involves obtaining documents via email or USB, with bid submissions in sealed form, but no explicit instructions on proposal formatting, evaluation criteria, or detailed contract clauses are provided. The project’s key deliverables include the safe demolition of structures, sewer plugging, and site regrading, with inspections and acceptance likely occurring at the performance sites. The contract lacks specific references to evaluation factors, pricing details, or formal contract clauses, focusing instead on regulatory compliance and safety standards. Overall, the project aims to safely decommission unsafe structures while restoring the sites in accordance with applicable asbestos and environmental regulations, with administrative procedures centered on sealed bid submission and site performance.
