2026-2027 Offseason Maintenance

The Anderson-Cottonwood Irrigation District is conducting a project for the routine maintenance and repair of existing irrigation facilities during the 2026/2027 irrigation off-season. This work is performed for the benefit of the district and its customers pursuant to Resolution 2026-08 and is classified under NAICS code 237110. The scope of work includes routine repairs and minor alterations to the main canal and laterals located within Shasta and Tehama counties. Specific target areas include the South Barney Reach, the Railroad to Floyd Lane Reach, the Broken Barn to Midway Reach, the Chum Creek Main Canal area, Lateral 21 from Balls Ferry to Glen Hollow Lane, and Lateral 21.3 at Gaines Lane. The project is managed by General Manager Daniel Ruiz and is designated as a Categorical Exemption under 14 CCR section 1501(c)(3), as the work involves existing facilities with negligible expansion of use and no significant environmental impacts. This exemption is supported by authority from sections 21083 and 21110 of the Public Resources Code. Notices of Exemption were filed in September 2026 to formalize the environmental status of the maintenance activities.
