2026 Saratoga Springs Well #9 RFPQ

Saratoga Springs City is seeking prequalification statements from drilling contractors for the Irrigation Well 9 Project in Utah. This project involves the drilling and construction of a new municipal production well reaching approximately 1,200 feet in alluvial sediments using the flooded reverse mud rotary method. The scope of work includes drilling and grout sealing a conductor casing, geophysical and caliper logs, zone testing, installation of a 20-inch diameter well with stainless steel screens and engineered gravel pack, well development via air lifting and mechanical surging, and a 24-hour constant-rate discharge test. The project is expected to be completed by early 2027. To be eligible to bid on the project, contractors must successfully complete the prequalification process by submitting a statement via the Bonfire U3P portal by October 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Evaluation is based on the experience of personnel, specifically the tool pusher and drillers, and the completion of at least three similar well projects within the last seven years. Required submissions include a title page, a completed prequalification information form, personnel resumes, project experience, and at least three professional references. Additionally, contractors must demonstrate a minimum bonding capacity of 2.0 million dollars and provide evidence of a permanent safety program, including EMR figures and OSHA/MSHA records from the last five years.
