The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) on behalf of the Capital District Developmental Disabilities State Operations Office (DDSOO) requires a qualified Contractor to provide Lawn Care and Maintenance Services at community sites in Albany, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, and Washington Counties. Lawn Care and Maintenance Services detailed in this Scope of Work will be paid by one seasonal price, spread out over six (6) equal installments. Detailed Specifications: The Contractor will provide lawn maintenance and related services. All labor, materials, and equipment necessary to professionally complete the service are to be supplied by the Contractor. All equipment used in this service must meet the manufacturer’s safety requirements and be properly installed and functional. All equipment must be operated in a safe manner. The Contractor will also provide all labor, equipment, material (i.e. topsoil, seed, mulch), and services necessary for the restoration and repair of all disturbed areas. The Contractor is required to establish a smooth, acceptable lawn, free of eroded or bare areas. The Contractor must be able to show they have adequate staff and equipment to perform services for all sites for which they are under contract. The Contractor is required to meet with the House Leader, Plant Superintendent, or designee at each site, prior to the start of the lawn care season, unless such meeting is waived by each properties House Leader. The Lawn Care and Maintenance Services season will consist of 3 phases: A) Spring Clean-Up to commence April 1st or the start of the annual growing season, whichever comes first. B) Lawn Care Maintenance provided from approximately May 1st through November 1st for each year of the contract, and C) Fall Clean-Up to be completed after the majority of leaves have fallen, prior to the first significant snowfall, or before November 30th, whichever comes first. In addition, the Contractor will be responsive to House Leader call backs. Prevailing Wages will apply for this contract.
