NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT (NPP) 24-58224 Title: Portable Handheld X-Ray Fluorescence Analyzer Solicitation Number: 24-58224 Publication Date: October 7, 2024. Closing Date and Time: November 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM EDT. Trade Agreements: • Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Region of Opportunity: Canada Region of Delivery: National Capital Region (NCR) Commodity – UNSPSC: 41000000 Laboratory and Measuring and Observing and Testing Equipment, 41110000 Measuring and observing and testing instruments, 41113400 Nuclear evaluation instruments, 41113407 X ray Microanalysers Notice Type: Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) Tendering Procedure: Open Description: The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) requires the supply and delivery of one (1) Portable Handheld X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Analyzer, hereby known as XRF Analyzer, for delivery to Ottawa ON. The XRF Analyzer will enable the laboratory to quantitatively determine the elemental composition of metal samples. The XRF Analyzer must include an X-ray tube to energize the atoms in conductive solid metallic samples, resulting in the formation of X-rays. The chemical composition of the metallic materials will be determined by analyzing the resulting X-ray spectrum. The NRC will not accept prototypes, demonstration models, used, or refurbished equipment. Proposals should include equipment that meets the latest industry standards, offers long-term parts availability, and has proven reliability in similar installations. All the deliverables must be received on or before March 31, 2025. Basis of selection: Lowest price Tenders must be submitted to the NRC Bid Receiving Unit at: NRC.BidReceiving-ReceptiondesSoumissions.CNRC@nrc-cnrc.gc.ca Refer to the attached tender documents to obtain further information. Canada retains the right to negotiate with any supplier on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
