This initiative aims to enhance the security and efficiency of financial transaction handling, aligning with the DMV's mission of ensuring dependable vehicle registration and driver licensing services. Key responsibilities for the awarded contractor include daily armored car pickups and deliveries to deposit cash and checks at the Bank of America by the following business day. Additionally, the contractor must execute change order services, delivering small denominations to DMV offices, handle shipments within a stipulated waiting period, and maintain logs of transactions. This contract, anticipated to commence on July 1, 2025, or upon contract approval, is expected to extend through June 30, 2027. Services under this agreement are to be provided across multiple DMV field offices throughout California, as outlined in the relevant exhibit. Bidders are required to submit a comprehensive proposal demonstrating the capability to fulfill service demands without subcontracting. They must provide proof of sufficient armored vehicles registered with the DMV, alongside meeting compliance requirements such as holding a valid Motor Carrier Permit and an Armored Car Non-Transferable License from the California Highway Patrol. The DMV will award contracts to the lowest responsive bidders, either for individual offices or aggregated for multiple locations, contingent upon meeting these outlined prerequisites.
