Please see answers to questions and/or modifications to the solicitation below. ________________________________________________________________________________ QUESTIONS TO THE SOLICITATION Question 2: Our proposed forklift has a Lithium-ion battery that does not require watering or an associated watering string. Also, it has a capacity of 690 AH. Please advise whether this would be acceptable to the end user? Answer 2: Yes, Canada will modify the solicitation documents. ________________________________________________________________________________ MODIFICATIONS TO THE SOLICITATION: *Under Annex Statement of Requirement., 1.0 Technical Specifications: DELETE subsection 1.4 in its entirety REPLACE with: 1.4 Battery: - can have Voltage 80V and have single point water system, or similar safety feature; - can have a Lithium-ion battery that does not require watering or an associated watering string, has a capacity of 690 AH; - must have clear indicator for low electrolyte level if refill needed (e.g. lead-acid); - must have load indicator (scale); - can have a high-capacity battery with 800 amp-hours minimum, - must have a standard warranty on the battery. Answer 1: Canada requests a delivery date before March 31, 2026. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN THE SAME ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ RFP 25-58189 New Electric Forklift and Charger Statement of Requirement New Electric Forklift and Charger Publication Date: December 8, 2025 Closing Date and Time: December 22, 2025 2:00pm EST The National Research Council Canada’s (NRC) - Aerospace Research Centre (AERO) has a requirement for the supply of one (1) new Electric Forklift and Charger for delivery to Ottawa, ON. The new Forklift and Charger are required to increase load capacity, improve safety standards, and reduce maintenance costs associated with current older equipment. The power supply for charge station will be installed by NRC. 1.0 Technical Specifications: The new Electric Forklift and Charger must meet the following Mandatory Specifications: 1.1 Must be an electric Forklift only; 1.2 Must be a side shift Forklift; 1.3 Must have a 10,000-pound (lb) load capacity; 1.4 Battery: Voltage 80V -must have single point water system, or similar safety feature; -must have clear indicator for low electrolyte level if refill needed (e.g. lead-acid); -must have load indicator (scale); -must be a high-capacity battery with 800 amp-hours minimum, -must have a standard warranty on the battery. 1.5 Must have a 180-inch lift height 1.6 Must have a strobe light 1.7 Must have an opportunity charger for extended shift lengths 1.8 The electric forklift must operate indoors or outdoors, suitable for gravel surfaces and use on ramps 1.9 The electric forklift must have a full-suspension seat with easy to see seat belt 1.10 Must have a full cab with heater 1.13 Must have a back up alarm 1.14 The electric Forklift must be under 96 inches lowered total height 1.15 The electric Forklift must have a 3 year or 4000-hour standard warranty 1.16 The electric Forklift must be delivered and ready to use.
