ENGINEERING BREACHING SYSTEM (EBS) SYNOPSIS: THE U.S. ARMY CONTRACTING COMMAND (TACOM; WARREN, MI), HAS A REQUIREMENT TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL QUANTITY OF EIGHTEEN (18) HIGH LIFT ADAPTERS (HLA) AND A QUANTITY OF EIGHTEEN (18) LANE MARKING SYSTEMS (LMS) TO THE CURRENT PRODUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE ENGINEERING BREACHING SYSTEM (EBS). THE EBS IS A MAJOR SUBSYSTEM OF THE ASSAULT BREACHER VEHICLE (ABV) SYSTEM. THE CURRENT PRODUCTION CONTRACT WILL BE EXTENDED FOR AN ADDITIONAL YEAR MAKING THE CONTRACT LENGTH A TOTAL OF 5 YEARS. TACOM PLANS TO NEGOTIATE SOLEY, AS PRESCRIBED IN FAR 6.302-1, WITH PEARSON ENGINEERING, LTD.; CAGE CODE K0824, FOR FULFILLMENT OF THIS REQUIREMENT. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A CAPABILITY STATEMENT AND/OR PROPOSAL TO THE GOVERNMENT POINT OF CONTACT WHICH WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE AGENCY. RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 1:00 P.M. EST TIME, FEBRUARY 27, 2014. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS.
