25142 - Water Treatment Plant Siding and Window Replacement

The City of Alcoa is soliciting sealed bids for the siding and window replacement project at the Water Treatment Plant located at 302 Sam Houston School Rd., Maryville, TN. The scope of work includes removing existing Hardie board siding and installing hat channel strips, 3/4 inch semi-permeable polystyrene foam insulation board, and approximately 9,400 square feet of metal board and batten siding, including all necessary caulking and sealing. Additionally, the contractor must replace eight exterior windows with comparable replacements and frame under existing sills to lift the windows off the brick ledge. All work must be completed within 90 days of bid acceptance, with performance hours scheduled Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm. Bids must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, to the Alcoa Purchasing Agent. To avoid bid voidance, contractors must provide at least three references from similar commercial projects and certify compliance with the Iran Divestment Act. Evaluation will be based on the bid amount as well as the vendor's experience, reputation, and ability to provide future support. The selected contractor must maintain minimum insurance coverages of 1,000,000 dollars for both General Liability and Automobile Accident Liability, as well as provide proof of Workers Compensation Insurance. All materials must be installed according to factory instructions and applicable building codes.
