Solicitation SPRTA1-13-R-0107 is a firm fixed-price, fixed-quantity contract for the procurement of Turbine Blade Retainers for the F100 Engine. These nickel alloy components, identified by part number 4089038 and NSN 2840-01-582-4944, are designed to retain the first stage blade. The government requires a total quantity of 40 units, with monthly deliveries of 9 units starting January 31, 2013, to destination FB2039. Due to the criticality and complexity of the parts, the government intends to solicit this requirement from a limited number of responsible sources, specifically identifying Pratt and Whitney as a qualified source. This acquisition is not a small business set-aside and requires manufacturers to have successfully completed specific testing for design or similar complexity. The contract is subject to the Buy American Act and Free Trade Agreements, and unique identification requirements apply if the unit price exceeds 5,000 dollars.
