Solicitation SPRTA1-14-R-0289 is a firm fixed-price, fixed-quantity contract for the procurement of 70 Compressor Spacers for the F100 Engine. These components, manufactured from AMS 4928 Titanium, are designed to provide essential spacing between the 11th and 12th stage disk and blade assemblies while sealing airflow in the high speed compressor. Delivery is scheduled for 10 units monthly starting in April 2015, with destination delivery to SW3211. Due to the criticality and complexity of the part, the government is limiting solicitation to a small number of responsible sources, specifically requiring that contractors be proprietary data licensees of the OEM. Qualified sources include Pratt and Whitney and GKN Aerospace. First Article testing is applicable, and Unique Identification requirements will be enforced if the unit price exceeds 5,000 dollars. This acquisition is not a small business set-aside and is subject to the Buy American Act and Free Trade Agreements.
