AI Contract Overview

The contract involves a test enhancement of the Requirements Projection on Web (RPOW) system, spearheaded by HQ AFMC in collaboration with the Propulsion Commodity Council at Tinker AFB. The enhancement aims to provide a feature displaying the number of approved sources for items, with the ability to drill down into detailed information. This functionality is intended to assist companies in identifying the best opportunities for submitting source approval packages, thereby promoting increased competition for competitively coded items that currently have fewer than two approved alternate sources. The project is currently in an information-gathering phase, seeking feedback from RPOW users to determine the usefulness of the enhancement. Specifically, input is requested on whether users find the new capability helpful and if they would prefer a condensed list highlighting high-priority items for additional sources. Feedback, including suggestions and comments, is being collected via a dedicated email address, with users encouraged to provide their responses to help shape the final implementation.
