This multi-year contract is for the procurement of new manufactured Augmentor Com Liners for the F100 Engine. These critical safety items are composed of columbium alloy and are designed to protect convergent seal assemblies from high exhaust gas temperatures. The requirement includes a base estimated quantity of 619 units in year one, 655 in year two, and 458 in year three, with an additional foreign military sales quantity of 1,131 units. Deliveries are scheduled at a rate of 200 units monthly, beginning 113 calendar days after receipt of order and first article approval. The acquisition is designated as a small business set-aside and is subject to export control and qualification requirements. Because the items are critical to weapon system safety, first article testing is mandatory, although waivers may be granted to contractors with a proven track record of supplying similar articles to the government or prime contractors. The government intends to solicit and negotiate under FAR 6.302, treating this as a full and open requirement while excluding the use of commercial item policies.
