AI Contract Overview

This procurement is for the acquisition of 105 nickel base alloy augmenter exhaust nozzles under a firm fixed price contract with a one year duration. Due to the high complexity and criticality of the parts, the government is limiting solicitation to a small number of responsible sources, specifically manufacturers who have completed required design testing. Currently qualified sources include Unison Engine and United Technology Corporation. The acquisition is export controlled and involves military technology, requiring US contractors to be registered with the DLSC and submit an approved DD Form 2345. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date to submit proposals or capability statements. An Ombudsman has been appointed to handle contractor concerns during the proposal phase, and first article testing may be required for the final award.
