This is a requirement for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for Teledyne Continental and Textron Lycoming factory new or rebuilt reciprocating (piston) engines for Department of Interior fleet aircraft in the lower 48 states. Currently there are approximately 30 engines in the fleet; however, there is no guarantee as to the number of engines that will require replacement beyond the two rebuilt Continental engines that will be ordered concurrently with the award of this contract. Contractor will be required to be a factory authorized distributor for both engines and provide services for processing of warranty claims for the engines to be purchased as well as warranties on existing government owned engines and accessories. The contract period will be one year from date of award with government unilateral options for up to four additional years. The estimated issue date of the solicitation is October 1, 2007. It is a requirement that any successful awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to award being made. This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code is 336412 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The solicitation will be available at this site and http://amd.nbc.gov.
