Solicitation SPRTA1-14-R-0354 is a firm fixed-price, fixed-quantity contract for the procurement of 10 shroud segments for the TF33 engine. These components, identified by part number 734874 and NSN 2840-01-160-6492, are designed to hold and lock 4th stage turbine stators in place. The parts are manufactured from Ams 5736 stainless steel and must be delivered to destination SW3211 by March 31, 2016. Pratt and Whitney is listed as the qualified source for this requirement. Due to the specialized nature of the components, the government intends to solicit and negotiate with a limited number of sources under FAR 6.302. This acquisition is subject to the Buy American Act and Free Trade Agreements, and it involves technology with military or space applications, restricting foreign sources from acting as prime contractors.
