This contract covers the supply of a metal tube assembly, specifically part number 4069160, which serves as a critical component in the #4 bearing area of the F100 engine by providing an oil return path to the oil tank inside the diffuser case. It is a firm fixed-price agreement set aside exclusively for small businesses, with a total firm fixed quantity of three units—two to be shipped for production and one to be used for testing purposes. The contract requires a first article test, and the condemned test unit will remain at the contractor’s facility. Delivery is to be made primarily to site DGR002, with early delivery permitted. Qualified sources must meet the requirements outlined in FAR 52.209-1 and be approved prior to award; however, the government will not delay award pending approval of submitted Source Approval Requests. This solicitation does not follow the Acquisition of Commercial Items procedures under Part 12, but interested parties may express their capability to provide commercial items within 15 days. Electronic submission processes are mandated, and the solicitation documents, including technical data, are downloadable exclusively from the designated government websites. An Ombudsman is available to address contractor concerns confidentially during proposal development, with contact information provided, but is not involved in proposal evaluation or source selection. Unit identification marking standards apply if the unit price exceeds $5,000. The contract was issued in August 2016 and closes in early September 2016, with Erin West serving as the primary contracting officer.
