Solicitation SPRTA1-16-R-0148 seeks the procurement of one to eight new manufactured aluminum fuel pumps for F110 jet engines. These components are designed to provide filtered, pressurized fuel for main engine operation and shaft power to the main engine control. The items are to be delivered to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. The government intends to limit competition under FAR 6.302, identifying Eaton Industrial Corporation, doing business as Argo-Tech, as the only known source capable of meeting the requirements. An Ombudsman has been appointed to handle contractor concerns during the proposal phase, though they will not influence the final source selection. Proposals are evaluated based on the ability to satisfy the specific technical dimensions and functional requirements of the fuel pump.
