The government planned to acquire a single 3-D Facility Scanner along with necessary accessories, intended for use by the 76th Aircraft Maintenance Group at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, for detailed internal and external 3-D mapping of their facilities. This requirement, initially announced in a pre-solicitation notice posted on December 7, 2015, under solicitation number FA8126-16-Q-0039, was categorized under NAICS code 334519. However, the entire procurement was subsequently canceled and will not proceed under the current solicitation. If the need arises again, the government indicated that the requirement will be reissued through the AFWAY/NETCENTS-2 contracting vehicles. Key points include that the contract was a pre-solicitation, meaning it was an early announcement prior to formal solicitation, and no set-aside types were specified. The place of performance was Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, and contact points for the acquisition were identified as Phillip C. Forslund, Contract Negotiator, and Shelly D. Looke, Contracting Officer, both reachable via provided email addresses and phone numbers. The cancellation implies no further procurement action under this notice will occur, but future opportunities may become available through established Air Force contracting channels.
