This is amendment #2 to subject solicitation. First amendment issued 28 oct 2008. The purpose of this amendment is to change the requirement to Brand Name Sensor Systems Antennas or equal. This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12, in conjunction with FAR 15. GSA FAS/AASD has a requirement to support the Army's Blue Force Tracking Aviation with brand name Sensor Systems 301 and GPS Antennas or equal for integration and fielding of rapid deployment systems. To accomplish this, it is desired to initiate an IDIQ contract with base year minimum requirements of 50 and maximum of 750 for both items. The first and second year options minimum requirements are 50 and 1000 for both items. The products are unique to Army situation awareness systems and have been qualified for Safety of Flight / Airworthiness Release. Or equal products must demonstrate the ability to work on Army and Joint rotary wing systems (AH-64A/D, UH-60A/L/M, CH-47D/F, HH-60, CH-53, etc.), and Joint fixed wing systems (C-23, J-STARS) as well as Unmanned Aerial Systems. Failure to show proof that the or equal product works on theses systems can render the quote non-responsive. These Antennas remove the dependency between host application proprietary communication systems, and are critical to Aviation missions. New equipment only, NO remanufactured products, and NO - gray market items. Ensure that all items will be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. All interested vendors MUST be registered in GSA's Online Procurement system, ITSS to download the solicitation. The URL is https://it-solutions.gsa.gov, and the registration helpdesk number is (877) 243-2889 Option 1. The anticipated date the solicitation will be posted to https://it-solutions.gsa.gov is 1 Dec 2008. Copies of the solicitation are not available for mailing. The government anticipates a firm-fixed price contract as a result of this solicitation. All prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to award of contract with any DoD agency. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Ron Missildine at ron.missildine@gsa.gov. Contracting Office Address: GSA FAS/AASD, 4890 University Square, Suite 3F, Huntsville, AL 35816
