This procurement involves the acquisition of two radial and thrust roller bearings, part number 7847697, destined for FMS countries. The contract was solicited under a 100 percent small business set aside with a size standard of 750 employees, specifically targeting Messinger Bearings Corporation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The anticipated award date was September 15, 2006, with a final delivery deadline of March 31, 2007. Due to the technical complexity of the part, engineering source approval from the design control activity is mandatory to ensure quality.
