NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE SPECIAL NOTICE This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is 6.302-1. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order to Superion to provide (4,000) Blades, with a solid tungsten carbide, single edge, double bevel (0.019 quote mark x0.315 quote mark x0.630 quote mark ) - tolerances, +/-0.005 quote mark intended use is for cutting of continuous synthetic fiber yarn into staple lengths for customer using a Neumag style staple cutter.
