The Bureau of Reclamation’s Technical Service Center is conducting market research to identify capable manufacturers or authorized distributors of a large-format, commercial-grade stereolithography (SLA) 3D printer that meets stringent technical requirements for producing high-precision hydraulic model components. The system must feature a minimum build volume of 32.7 x 32.7 x 21.6 inches to enable single-print fabrication of large parts, eliminating the risks of multi-piece assembly such as dimensional error, warping, or leaks. It must utilize a dual-laser SLA architecture to achieve the high-throughput speeds necessary to support rapid engineering test cycles, while maintaining commercial-grade dimensional accuracy critical for valid hydraulic flow analysis. The printer must be designed for heavy-duty, near-continuous operation in a production laboratory setting and must be accompanied by a robust support ecosystem including compatible resins, wash/cure systems, maintenance services, and OEM technical support. Interested parties must submit a capability statement detailing their company information, UEI, business size, manufacturer authorization, and comprehensive documentation proving full compliance with all minimum specifications. Submissions must include product literature, technical specifications, past performance with similar large-format SLA systems, and estimated delivery timelines. Only responses that meet every criterion will be considered, as partial compliance is insufficient. The Government will use this feedback to determine if alternative sources exist beyond the currently identified 3D Systems SLA825 Dual-Laser SLA Printer; if no additional viable sources are found, the procurement may proceed as a sole-source acquisition.
