The U.S. Navy, through NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia, intends to award a sole-source contract to THE BOEING COMPANY for two units of a wire rope spare part identified by NSN 0Q-4010-017214046 and part number 9M59-3-170P, used in support equipment. This part is exclusively sourced from the original equipment manufacturer, with no alternative suppliers or design data available to the government, justifying non-competitive acquisition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302. The procurement is governed by FAR Part 15, requires UID marking, and is subject to Buy American provisions. The contract will have a one-year duration, with delivery made FOB origin, and no drawings or technical data are provided by the government. Interested parties may submit capability statements within 45 days of the notice’s publication, but only Boeing is approved as the source unless a Source Approval Request is submitted by another firm—though the procurement will not be delayed for such review. The solicitation will be issued electronically via NECO on or about May 14, 2026, with responses due by June 12, 2026, and an anticipated award date of June 29, 2026. No hard copies or phone inquiries will be accepted. The NAICS code is 314994, the PSC is 4010, and while this is not a total small business set-aside, all submissions must be sent electronically to Taylor Weidman at the provided Navy email address. A formal competitive process is not planned, and submissions will be evaluated only to determine if competition is feasible.
