This contract, identified by solicitation number SPRTA1-14-R-0137, is for the procurement of electrically operated centrifugal air circulating fans designed for air conditioning duct networks. The requirement specifies part number 743194 and NSN 4140012572453, with the equipment constructed from aluminum, steel, and various other materials. The government estimated a quantity of 9 units, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 14, to be delivered in increments between November 2014 and March 2015 to destination SW3211. Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation is the intended source for this requirement due to source controlled drawings and a lack of available data to facilitate competitive bidding. While the government intends to negotiate with this limited source under FAR 6.302, the notice allows other responsible sources to submit capability statements or proposals for consideration. The contract period extends through 2015, and an Ombudsman has been appointed to handle contractor concerns during the proposal development phase.
