42 -- Life Raft LRU-16/P

The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) is seeking proposals from small business concerns interested in participating in an acquisition plan for LRU-16/P Life Rafts. The raft is a critical application item requiring drawings and military specifications, contractor first article testing, product lot testing, and source inspection. Offerors not cited as - Acceptable Sources as specified in the item description are required to obtain source approval from the design control activity. Source approval requests/technical data packages must be submitted to DSCP with the offer. The resultant contract will be an Indefinite Quantity Contract for one (1) base year and four (4) one-year options. The total estimated yearly quantity is 2,300 each. The total estimated purchases will be approximately $4 Million over the five (5) year period. Prospective contractors shall be able to adequately support the estimated quantity required in the contract. The solicitation will become available on or about 16 April 2003.
