This contract involves the repair and modification of a compressor, identified by NSN 7H-4310-016886069, for the Department of Defense under the Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech. The current agreement, held by RIX INDUSTRIES, is a firm fixed price contract valued at 1,142,856.55 dollars and is expected to end on December 6, 2026. Due to the government's lack of ownership over the necessary technical data and the impracticality of reverse engineering the part, the procurement is currently designated as non-competed under FAR 6.302-1. While the current status is a sole-source intent, there is a medium confidence prediction that this will become a recompete opportunity. The government is inviting responsible sources to identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement. Interested parties have a limited window to submit proposals or identify commercial item capabilities to the contracting officer. The acquisition is subject to specific Free Trade Agreements and the Buy American Act, and it falls under NAICS code 333914.
