The contract involves the procurement of 13 units of a repair module identified by NSN 1H-4730-016145053-PP, with technical data package version 002, in accordance with reference number 020SH-608-FR. Delivery terms are FOB origin, and the supplies will be issued to Federal Resources Supply Co. in Stevensville, Maryland. This action is a notice of intent for a sole source procurement, meaning the government plans to negotiate directly with only one source due to the unavailability of data rights and the impracticality of acquiring or reverse engineering the necessary technical data. While the notice is not a request for competitive quotes, interested parties may express their interest and submit capability statements or quotes, which the government will consider when determining whether to proceed with competition. The government emphasizes that it does not own the data or rights required to purchase or repair this part from alternate sources, and it is deemed uneconomical to acquire or reverse engineer these data rights. Interested parties can access related military and federal specifications through the DoD Single Stock Point or online databases like ASSIST-Online. Award will be contingent upon meeting qualification requirements in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation issued under number N0010421PCD70 is managed by the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support office in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with Samuel J. Tustin as the point of contact.
