4820 GATED WYES
Contract Overview
Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is seeking to procure 4820 Gated Wyes, part number B-97, exclusively from Elkhart Brass Manufacturing Company due to the product’s long-standing, proven compatibility with existing firefighting systems. This requirement is strictly brand-name-only, as alternative manufacturers’ products pose an unacceptable risk of system incompatibility despite their commercial availability. The Gated Wye has been successfully deployed by SRF for over two decades without operational issues, justifying the non-competitive procurement approach. Interested vendors may express their interest solely to assist the government in determining whether a competitive solicitation is warranted, though the decision not to compete remains at the government’s sole discretion. The contract will be awarded as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 332912, with evaluation based on price reasonableness and past performance. The solicitation closes on July 24, 2026, with an anticipated award date in July 2026, and inquiries should be directed to Contracting Officer Lorraine Small at Lorraine.m.small.civ@us.navy.mil.

Full Description
Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLCPS) intends to solicit for Gated Wyes of supplies
GATED WYES part number B-97.
This requirement must be procured on a brand-name-only basis from Elkhart Brass Manufacturing Company. Elkhart Brass Part Number B-97 is the direct replacement for the existing installed equipment and has been successfully used by SRF for more than 20 years with a proven record of reliable performance and no known operational deficiencies. Although similar products may be commercially available, the use of a Gated Wye manufactured by another company introduces an unacceptable risk of incompatibility with the existing firefighting system. Interested companies may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, which will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
The Government will evaluate the offeror’s price for reasonableness and past performance as part of the responsibility determination in accordance with RFO 12.203.
