Full Description

Federal Supply Class(FSC) 4940, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 325920. Slurry Manufacturing System, Contractor shall design an explosive slurry manufacturing system using propellant recovered from operations at the Tooele Army Depot (TEAD). Contractor shall procure commercially available equipment and install them into a new Slurry Manufacturing Building being built at TEAD. Contractor shall assure the equipment is operational and will provide orientation to provide overall system, and equipment operation and maintenance orientation to the Government operating personnel. A TD P shall be provided by the contractor that includes, as a minimum, a layout drawing of the equipment locations, the instruction, operation and maintenance manuals for each of the process equipment, and the contractors operating instructions for the entire process. The instru ctions shall include step-by-step operation procedures, quality control, safety and maintenance requirements. Contractor shall automate the Slurry Manufacturing System to the extent that two workers, full time on site, can handle all slurry production nee ds and meet the production rate established. As part of the slurry manufacturing system design process, contractor shall need functions at each workstation to maximize employee labor and establish equipment specifications and requirements. Contractor sha ll identify the product formulation, the raw materials needed, and prepare a process flow chart for the slurry explosive to be produced. Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment to measure, combine, mix, dispense, package and mark/label the slurry product. The slurry production process will be designed to minimize hazardous materials waste streams generated from the slurry manufacturing process. FOB Destination, Tooele Army Depot, Tooele, UT. This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. Delivery i s 90 days after receipt of delivery order. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DOD must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR).
