This document is a request for quotations issued by the United States General Services Administration (GSA) for the procurement of a sheet metal chest, specifically aligned with the Corps of Engineer’s drawings D6681-1, Revision B, dated November 15, 1962. The product must meet detailed specifications including precise tolerances for dimensions and hardware, and includes exceptions to original drawings and military standards, with updated material and coating requirements. The chest is to be finished with a specific green polyurethane coating to a set minimum thickness and marked with the manufacturer’s identification along with the state or country of origin. Packaging and marking must follow either civilian or military standards, as applicable. Quoters are required to provide prices valid for five months, with prices quoted FOB destination, and must indicate business size and tax-related identification numbers. The request emphasizes that submitting a quote does not constitute a commitment by the government to pay any preparation costs or enter into a contract. Additionally, if a vendor is unable to submit a quote, they are asked to return the form indicating their inability. The request also allows acknowledgment of any deviations from the specified conditions and includes contact information for further inquiry.
