This contract involves the procurement of 114 steel rod end clevises, part number 2007302-101, specifically for use with the F-16 Falcon. The components must meet precise dimensional specifications, including a nominal overall width of 1.880 inches, a fork span width of 0.875 inches, and a fork arm thickness of 0.502 inches. In addition to the hardware, the contract requires a first article test report submitted in accordance with DD Form 1423-1. The items are designated for delivery to Hill Air Force Base, Utah, by September 30, 2006. Due to the critical nature of the parts, engineering source approval from the design control activity is mandatory to ensure quality and technical integrity. The government acknowledges that approved sources possess unique design capabilities and proprietary manufacturing knowledge not economically available to the government. Consequently, any alternate source must undergo a rigorous qualification process approved by the cognizant government engineering activity. Award eligibility is strictly contingent upon the offeror meeting these qualification requirements and FAR standards at the time of award.
