AI Contract Overview
Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is soliciting for fasteners, including continuous threaded studs, hex head cap screws, and heavy hex nuts, for use on an air conditioning plant condenser. This requirement is currently sole sourced to York International Corporation, doing business as Johnson Controls, because the company owns the proprietary design, engineering drawings, and specifications for the required part numbers. While the government is open to identifying other capable companies to determine if a competitive procurement is feasible, the current action is based on the proprietary nature of the intellectual property. The contract will be awarded based on a selection of the most advantageous offer, evaluating technical factors such as the delivery date, price, and past performance. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 332722, with an anticipated award date in September 2026. Interested parties must coordinate with the contracting officer, Wilfredo Gervacio, regarding their capabilities and pricing.
