DLA Troop Support is conducting market research via a sources-sought notice for future competitive Long-Term Contracts for wood products under the Tailored Logistics Support Program. This initiative serves as a follow-on to the current Wood Products Tailored Logistics Support Contract for the Central Region, which is set to expire in September 2027. The government intends to issue this procurement as a 100 percent Small Business Set Aside under NAICS code 321212. Products must adhere to commercial quality standards from independent grading agencies and specific military or federal specifications, such as MIL-L-2594D for mahogany planking and ASTM D 25 for round timber piles. Specialized preservation treatments, including waterborne preservatives and heat treatments, are required for various materials. Acceptance is managed through Material Inspection and Receiving Reports, with a requirement for Material Receipt Acknowledgements to be submitted within five business days of delivery.
