56--Notice of Intent to Sole Source

ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.5 to All-American Engineering & Manufacturing / Daro Hinges., 4099 White Bear Parkway, White Bear Lake, MN 55110. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All-American Engineering is the only known source capable of meeting the Government's requirements due to the unique capability to provide support and services. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later 11:00 am CST on 7 April 2010. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this note. No RFP will be issued based upon the Notice of Intent.
