AI Contract Overview

The contract involves a revision to the existing Statement of Work for solicitation VA-247-10-RQ-0329, specifically adding terms related to the demolition and remediation of a large round concrete cistern. The cistern measures 55 feet in diameter and 14 feet deep, with an estimated waste generation of no more than 490 tons. Additionally, it is anticipated that two feet of soil beneath the cistern will require removal or remediation. Should contamination be discovered beyond this specified soil depth, the contract will need to be modified to address the additional work necessary. The projected timeline for the project is approximately 30 workdays, contingent upon the receipt of a formal notice to proceed and approval from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) regarding the project profile. The terms emphasize that the schedule and scope might adjust if unforeseen contamination issues arise, requiring further remediation efforts beyond the initial estimate. This contract update ensures that both demolition and environmental remediation activities are clearly defined and accounted for in the Statement of Work.

General Info

Revision adds demolition and remediation of 55-foot cistern, soil removal, 30-day timeline, conditional on contamination.
