This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2001-15, Effective 25 Aug 2003. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 423690. This purchase is for hand-held radios for emergency communications in and near DISA (CONUS) occupied facilities. The estimated quantity is one hundred twenty-two (122) each professional grade hand-held two-way radio communication equipment with - heavy-duty desktop chargers. These radios must meet these specifications: aluminum frame, polycarbonate cabinet, withstand a drop of five vertical feet onto a concrete surface; Ultra High Frequency; range of five (5) miles (line-of-sight); General Mobil Radio Service (GMRS)/Family Radio Service (FRS) Capability, twelve (12) channel - seven 7 channel GMRS and 5 Channels FRS, two (2) watts; auto scan, auto squelch, LCD read-rout display, and rechargeable. Interested vendors will submit literature/brochures describing their product(s) in sufficient detail to allow review. Selected vendors will then be required to demonstrate their product.
