This market survey seeks sources for Vehicular Intercommunications System engineering services and installation kit production for the Department of Defense. The required services include establishing new vehicular configurations for U.S. Army and Marine Corps tracked or wheeled vehicles, which involves submitting detailed reports and installation drawings. Additionally, the government is looking for suppliers to produce installation kits consisting of brackets, attachment hardware, and cables on an IDIQ basis, with first article requirements for unqualified companies. Prospective suppliers must demonstrate experience in vehicle installation surveys and the preparation of requisite documentation. Because the government will not provide detailed technical data, respondents must submit their own performance specifications, test plans, and data to prove compliance. Crucially, suppliers must provide documentation or verification that their kits are form, fit, and functionally interchangeable with existing AN/VIC-3(V) systems previously supplied by Northrop Grumman Corp. Responses must be submitted to PM DCATS at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, by August 11, 2003.
