58--Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Meggitt Battery Eliminator Assembly

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Gordon, Georgia, plans to award a sole-source contract to Meggitt Training Systems, Inc. for the procurement of a Battery Eliminator Assembly designed specifically for Range Control operations at Fort Gordon. This assembly features custom wiring compatible with 3-prong 110 voltage lifters and is uniquely configured for use with Meggitt's stationary infantry targets currently installed on-site. Due to the proprietary nature of the system and exclusive programming support provided only by the manufacturer, the government has determined there is only one responsible source capable of fulfilling this requirement, thereby opting out of competitive bidding under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1).
