58--TR-317 Transducer Spares

While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. NUWC Division Newport, RI intends to award a sole source fixed price contract to Ultra Electronics Ocean Systems for the following TR-317 Transducer spart parts: 500 or 1,000 each 73355348-1 End Seal Assemblies (delivery 20 weeks); 500 or 1,000 each 7335385-1 Insert Assemblies (delivery 20 weeks); and 250 or 500 each Heat Sink Assemblies (delivery 1 year). The basis for the sole source is that Ultra Electronics is the only qualified source for the TR-317 Transducer and these are spare parts for that transducer. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
