The contract involves the repair and possible modification of four Receiver, Countermeasures units designated for the F-18 aircraft, owned by the Australian government. NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia is seeking a single qualified contractor, specifically L3 Harris Technologies Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, due to the government’s lack of necessary data for repairs or manufacturing. The effort includes providing labor, materials, and parts to restore these government-owned items to operational condition. The solicitation emphasizes that source approval is required, and the government will not delay award pending approval, making it essential for interested parties to submit the necessary documentation along with their proposals within five days of the notice. The contract is part of a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, with a response deadline set for June 23, 2025. The NAICS code indicates the work falls under the aircraft repair and maintenance sector. The government encourages responsible sources to express their interest and capability, noting that the notice is not a competitive solicitation but may consider other proposals received within the specified timeframe. The primary point of contact for inquiries is Autumn Rau, and additional details can be accessed through the provided online link.
