This is published as a sole source announcement under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Staisfy Agency Requirements. The Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tobyhanna Division-Contract Operations Branch, Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), Tobyhanna, PA 18466 intends to negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis to Aeroflex Control Components Inc., 40 Industrial Way East, Eatontown, NJ 07224. The proposed contract is for TYAD to purchase four (4) each diagnostic switch assemblies, part number: TB017G1 (drawing A3328157-001) and eight (8) each switch chassis, part number: ACSS-001G1 (drawing A3328146-001) to be used in the Replacement Radio Frequency Interconnecting Subsystem (RRFIS) systems. Aeroflex Control Components Inc. is the only known source that can provide the required proprietary assemblies and enable delivery of the required assemblies within the requested timeframe. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
