The Air Force has issued a sources-sought notice establishing Qualification Requirements for a specific item, the Circuit Card Assembly (NSN: 5998-00-137-7402ANT, P/N: 135C4088G3), originally manufactured by BAE Systems. Companies interested in participating must undergo a source approval process demonstrating that they have manufactured the actual item, as approvals based on similarity will not be accepted. This notice serves to inform potential suppliers about the qualification process but does not indicate any imminent procurement or availability of detailed drawings or specifications, which are typically not releasable to the public. For companies seeking additional information, inquiries must be submitted in writing via mail or fax to the Small Business Office at Tinker Air Force Base; telephone requests are not permitted. The notice emphasizes compliance with FAR 9.2 and Public Law 98.525 in establishing these requirements, focusing solely on qualification rather than solicitation for purchase at this time. The solicitation was posted in July 2003 and is designated as a sources-sought type gathering information from potential sources capable of manufacturing the specified circuit card assembly.
