The Department of the Army at White Sands Missile Range, NM, intends to award a sole source contract to Universal Switching Corporation for specific Adapter Panel-Active-Digital equipment and associated cables. The procurement includes nine adapter panels for digital inputs and outputs with 75 ohm BNC connectors, as well as cable assemblies for SCSI II connections of various lengths. This sole source decision is based on the unique testing and verification previously conducted with the current equipment, making it impractical and inefficient to procure from any other vendor due to potential duplication of time, effort, and costs. This procurement is not open for competition, and no solicitation document will be issued. Interested parties capable of meeting the requirement may submit a Capability Statement by the specified deadline, though the notice explicitly states it is not a request for quotations and that telephone requests will not be honored. The contract falls under NAICS code 334419 and involves equipment crucial for the testing infrastructure at White Sands Missile Range, with Jennifer L. Brown serving as the point of contact for this acquisition.
