Full Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground, Tenant Contracting Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground MD 21005 has a requirement to procure Mars Labs, Titan Mini-Recorder and Titan Digital Analog Converter (DAC), in support of Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. CLIN 0001: QTY 6 - Mars Labs-Titan Mini-Recorder, Part Number: BMS 16HR-53 CLIN 0002: QTY 3 - Mars Labs-Titan Digital Analog Converter (DAC), Part Number: DAC 1602-23 The Government intends to award a firm-fixed priced sole source purchase order to Mars Labs 29 C Street, Laurel, MD 20707. ATC requests the purchase of six (6) Mars Labs (Titan) Mini-Recorders, and three (3) Mars Labs to Digital Analog Converters (DAC). The data acquisition devices provide 16 channels of programmable excitation, gain and filtering. These converters are needed to (a) integrate into the existing Mars Labs data acquisition system at the Bridge Crossing simulator (BCS), (b) have 100% compatibility with the current hardware and embedded software and (c) provide seamless interface with the existing DTC's ADMAS data acquisition currently employed at the BCS. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334419 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All response received within 10 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM EST, April 09, 2013. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
